Cinematic outlaws. Artists, archival agitators and analogue alchemists exploring the found and the forgotten. Lydia Beilby of the Edinburgh and Melbourne-based collective Screen Bandita. We discuss her love of found 8mm and 16mm film, the joy of collaboration, the art of projecting film and her work at Edinburgh International Film Festival.

"You find a reel of film, at a car boot sale, and you don't necessarily know what's on it. That gives me the creative Impetus to engage with that material, because it's floating free of its original context. It was maybe made as a science film 50 years ago but now it's lost that context, it's untethered, so it's finding a way to engage with that creatively in the present."
